Robin Scherrer

My work begins with a walk. I gather weeds, wildflowers, garden flowers, nuts, leaves, twigs, bark, and other natural materials to make vibrant dye baths and detailed prints. Materials generally come from my backyard, the surrounding suburban woods, and along the W&OD Trail that runs behind my home in Northern Virginia.
